Frog Smash Cake and Cupcakes

This order was for Juliette's 1st Birthday! The theme was "Frogs", and I designed the cake based off of the froggy on the fabric of Juliette's custom made dress! The smash cake is a white cake, dyed pink (which of course I LOVE!) The froggy, flowers, lily pad, and bow are all made from fondant- and the cake is covered in a light green buttercream. The 6 dozen cupcakes were a combination of: white, confetti (with green and pink sprinkles to match!) chocolate, almond, and coconut! They are decorated with custom matching fondant decorations- lily pads, "j's" for Juliette, "1's", Froggies, and matching flowers. Here's to hoping Juliette had a HOPPY first birthday!!

Frequently Asked Questions

Hi Everyone! I would like to say thank you to everyone who has emailed me or posted on my facebook (www.Facebook.com/Leahs.Sweet.Treats) with interest/support of Leah's Sweet Treats! I would also like to thank everyone for being so patient in my venture to open this storefront and answer a few frequently asked questions since I am getting more and more emails on a daily basis with the same inquiries. I have been getting an amazing amount of publicity from various media outlets- which is awesome! But causes a bit of a problem since new followers of Leah's Sweet Treats are confused by location/opening/contact.
Why can I not get ahold of you at 817-692-0256, the number you have listed on your website?
That number is a cell phone number which unfortunately at this point barely gets service, and often times does not even ring or connect to voicemail. Since we thought we would for sure be open by now, I have been holding off waiting to get the permanent land # in the storefront. The best way to get ahold of me until then is by email: Leah@SugarPieHoneyBuns.com
Why are you not open yet? Are you opening on Camp Bowie? When are you opening?
I signed a lease in March for my amazing location on Camp Bowie (Yes, that is where the storefront will be- 4910 Camp Bowie Blvd, directly across the street from Kincaids and the Showdown Bar). The process of getting permits/plans/approvals through the city was far more involved and c-r-a-z-y then ever imagined, and we are doing our absolute best to get everything completed correctly as quickly as possible. If I could've been open yesterday, trust me I would've! My contractor is working his you know what off, and after permits are approved the renovations of the space will take approximately 4 weeks- at which point I will start an official countdown to Grand Opening!
Will you have cupcakes for sale every day once the storefront is open?
Yes, definitely! There will be a variety of flavors baked off every day for retail, walk-in purchase- both standard and mini sized. You can come in and buy 1 or 100! There will also be a select number of "custom" decorated cupcakes for purchase (first come first serve), and also small cakes available for purchase (although this might not be on a daily basis- will all depend on demand and time constraints)
Are you "the" Leah of Leah's Sweet Treats? Do you have any partners/employees?
Yes, I am "the" Leah and I am currently the sole employee. I appreciate everyone's understanding and support that this a one woman operation, and I do as much as humanly possible (without jeopardizing integrity of work/designs) So this is why it is important to get your order in ASAP because I cannot gauge which weekends will book up and how many orders I can take each weekend at this point. I request at least 2 weeks notice for custom cake orders, and one week's notice for custom cupcake orders.
If you have any other questions about the storefront, custom orders, general info please email me at Leah@SugarPieHoneyBuns.com
Thank you for all of your support!!
I would like to end this entry with a picture of my Sweet Pea- my little sweet treat that never fails to make me smile on days where I think I will NEVERRRRRRR be open ;)
my little cupcake!
