Officially one of my favorite cakes ever! So girly and sweet, wish we had it as a dummy cake to have on display!! Anna Kate's sweet mommy was a pleasure to work with and picked our chocolate covered cherry as the flavor for the cake! The strawberries leaves and flowers are all made from fondant.

Girly Western Cake
I had so much fun making this western cake for Miss Brooke!! It is a 4" 6" 8" stacked cake with red velvet, cookies and cream, and confetti cake. Her party is going to be at the stockyards and I think it's going to be fab!

I have a slight obsession with pinwheels right now, not to mention I loved the colors they picked! They matched the shop colors perfectly! ;) This cake was a 4" lemon cake and a 6" confetti cake with fondant pinwheels! Love!

Jenna and Sean's Wedding
Jenna wanted a vintage inspired wedding cake with a special surprise- the inside of the cake was ombre with a graduating aqua color! She chose the white velvet as her flavor (the most popular of our wedding flavors!) Sean's grooms cake was a peanut butter chip with chocolate buttercream filling "Retro Nintendo" player! How fun!
Alma's vintage inspired wedding cake
This is one of my favorite cakes ever! Alma was the sweetest bride ever, who wanted something unique and vintage inspired for her wedding cake! Right up my alley! The entire cake is our signature "white velvet flavor" The colors were made to match Alma and Jeremys themes and colors. It looked awesome at their venue- the Thistle Hill Mansion in Fort Worth.

Whimsical Roses Birthday Cake
I totally love this cake! It is for a surprise birthday party at Mira Vista for Brenda's 60th Birthday! The client simply asked for a chocolate cake with roses on it, and said I could take it from there..... so this is where I went with it! :) Buyers beware::: if you tell me I can use any colors-- I will probably use them all!! Instead of doing petal by petal fondant flowers I thought it would be cool and unique to do whimsical "ribbon" roses, and I think it turned out awesome! It is a 3 tiered chocolate cake 4, 6, 8" with buttercream filling and frosting. The flowers/leaves/vines/polka dots are all made from fondant.

Black and Red Burlesque Cake
I am calling this cake the "Burlesque" Cake- but it was actually for an awesome party thrown for Jenna Rabideau who owns Halo Salon on Camp Bowie, Halo Brides Hair & Makeup, and her newest venture "Halo Artists Group"- a DFW talent agency that specializes in all the "behind the scene" talents: hair/makeup/photography/set design etc. The party was a joint birthday and launch of Halo Artists Groupe- showcasing all their great work! The party theme was kind of a mixture of circus/burlesque/oddities, and Jenna requested the cake be black and red. I had so much fun making this cake! I love when clients give me free range to basically do whatever I want along the lines of the theme. The tiny top quilted tier, and red and black striped tier were both almond cake with buttercream filling. The black tier which had a "fishnet" texture, and red lace border was a 9" red velvet cake with cream cheese filling, and the bottom harlequin cake was a 12" quadruple chocolate cake- chocolate chocolate chip cake, chocolate buttercream with drizzled chocolate!! The roses were made of fondant, airbrushed, disco/sparkle/and luster dusted, along with black glitter leaves.

"Hi Leah.
Ive been meaning to contact you to tell you how very much we all enjoyed your cake creation it TCU graduation dinner. It truly was the crown jewel of the evening beginning w the visual presentation and ending with how very delicious the cake itself and buttercream frosting was. Everyone spent at least a few moments praising it and your work.
This is the first day Ive actually been able to get back to all the folks who made Kylie Anna's day so very special. Thank you for doing such great work and for being so responsible as to come to deliver when you said you would.
I wish you all the very best and good luck developing what appears to be a top-notch company!
Well done.

Day of the Dead Cake
I had an awesome time last night at the Lena Pope Home Sweetheart Dessert Fantasy Event at the Fort Worth Club! This was my second cake I submitted, with a "Day of the Dead" or Dia de los Muertos theme. The cake was red velvet on the bottom, strawberry in the middle, and red velvet on the top as well. The bottom and top layers were airbrushed black and green. The Skulls were made out of gumpaste, hand painted with food coloring. The "mosaic of tiles" on the middle layer were made out of fondant, and the flowers on top were made out of fondant and also airbrushed. What a fun, bright cake- right up my alley!
