Painting with a Twist Cake

Here is another fun "art party" cake for Ashlyn's party at Painting with a Twist here in Fort Worth! It was an 8" square confetti cake with lots of fun fondant and buttercream painting details. 

Art and Ikat Cake

What a fun, bright cake this is! It s a 6" and 8" square stacked cake. Top tier is pink champagne, bottom tier is white with fresh strawberries and buttercream filling. The painters palette and brushes are made from fondant and the ikat chevron pattern was piped with buttercream.

Art Party Cake

I really adore this art party cake!! Kinsey's mom had contacted me about doing a cake for a 5th Birthday "Art" Party. She already had sooo many precious goodies/treats/invites that she shared with me, I knew the cake had to live up to the rest of the party!! :) It is a 6" & 8" stacked - the top tier is all confetti (how cute will that be when they cut into it!?) and the bottom tier is "tuxedo" chocolate, confetti, chocolate with buttercream filling. The cake is covered in white fondant with lots of fun fondant details: paint brushes, paint palette, crayons, "Kinsey Crayons", and paint splatters! 

Hopefully this cake fills up all those little "starving artists"!! :)

Update on Storefront

Woohoo! Progress has been made at the storefront!! The carpet (and tiles that were underneath) have been pulled up and the paint colors have been chosen. Pfffh you thought I could narrow it down to one or two colors??? Try 6! It's going to be super cute, retro chic! The plans were finally finalized and should be submitted this week. If all goes well everything should move forward smoothly and swiftly so let's all hope so!!
